A TOAST TO SUMMER, WAS PRODUCED BY OXFORD LEAGUE, AND SPONSORED BY KEEN FOOTWEAR, SUN RANCH SPIRITS, NOHO’S HAWAIIAN CAFE, AND WILD ROOTS. WE WANTED TO END SUMMER OFF THE WAY ALL SUMMERS SHOULD BE ENDED, AS A CORE MEMORY, THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE SURROUNDED BY FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND NEW PEOPLE YOU’VE JUST MET THAT FEEL FAMILIAR. NOTHING BEATS ENDLESS SUMMER DRINKS, CATERED FOOD, SHAVED ICE & 6 TALENTED DJ’S ALL ON ONE ROOFTOP OVERLOOKING THE CITY OF PORTLAND. THE PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE WAS TO CREATE AN EVENT THAT BROUGHT THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER FOR A NICE SUMMER DAY.
ROCKETS & ROSES, A CREATIVE CONFLUENCE FEATURING OXFORD LEAGUE’S VERY OWN, PHILLYROCKET, AND HIS BROTHER ROSEXLEON, THE CREATIVE DIRECTORS/PHOTOGRAPHER DUO GRACIOUSLY INVITED INDIVIDUALS FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS TO ENGAGE IN DISCOUNTED/ FREE PHOTOSHOOTS. THIS INITIATIVE AIMED TO BOLSTER THE PROMOTION OF THEIR BUSINESSES, PERSONAL BRANDS, AND OVERALL REPRESENTATION OF SELF, PARTICULARLY FOCUSING ON INDIVIDUALS OF COLOR OR THOSE FACING ECONOMIC CHALLENGES, HOWEVER IT WAS OPEN TO ANYONE THAT WANTED TO PARTICIPATE. THE EVENT PROVIDED A WELCOMING SPACE FOR ALL TO PARTAKE IN A PHOTOSHOOT EXPERIENCE. THE AMBIANCE WAS ENHANCED WITH LIVE MUSIC, GOURMET CATERING, AND A SELECTION OF BEVERAGES, ALL SPONSORED BY OXFORD LEAGUE.
AN INSTALLATION PRODUCED BY THE OXFORD LEAGUE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH T.E.A.M CENTER, PROVIDING A SPACE FOR CREATIVES TO COLLABORATE ON HIGH EDITORIAL CONTENT CREATION AND EXPLORATION.
